ENGRAVING

From the Vault Jewelers offers machine engraving to the public, to wholesale and to corporate accounts. Our computerized diamond drag machine has one of the largest capacities for a machine its size, allowing us to engrave most trophies and awards, as well as smaller items, such as charms or lockets. We also have a state of the art laser engraving system that is ideal for engraving your supplied logo or other art work to be engraved to create one of a kind gifts or awards! With our two engraving systems on site, we can often say “yes!” to your engraving query when others have said “no!”

Diamond Drag Engraving

Diamond Drag engraving is a process where a diamond tipped stylus burnishes the surface of the metal of the item being engraved, leaving an impression of lines in the metal. This method is what most people think of when they hear machine engraving. Our large capacity Signature 8080 Super engraver can engrave 90% of the items that our clients bring into the store. This machine can engrave cups and bowls, in addition to plates and trays. This machine is great for Pewter, Sterling Silver, Brass, and older Silver Plate. This machine is capable of engraving glass (with the caveat that all glass engraving is at the client's risk).

Laser Engraving

The new "normal" for engraving. Laser engraving machines have come a long way. For many years, we avoided laser engravers as they did not have the power to remove metal, and just etched the surface. As the technology has improved, these new fiber lasers have the capacity to both cut metal, engrave, and carve. Our machine is capable of all three! This machine is great for engraving Steel, the newer Silver Plate, Brass, Bronze, and many other materials!

Hand Engraving

Hand Engraving is a disappearing art form. The artist will transfer the design onto the object, and then painstakingly carve the design into the metal using specialized tools.

We work with a talented master hand engraver for engraving your peter, silver, and karat gold items for monograms, crests, inscriptions, and much more! Our talented jewelry artisan Aaron can hand engrave decorative patterns and trims on your jewelry items, transforming them into heirloom pieces.
