Thank you for your interest in making an appointment with me for Value and Value Related Services! I typically write appraisal reports for insurance purposes, although I can write a report for any movable personal property use. There are two main types of insurance appraisal reports that I will write, A Cost Estimate to Replace (which is my opinion of what From the Vault Jewelers would charge you to either make or special order a similar item, or a Market Value Appraisal (which is my opinion of the price you would pay to buy a like item, often in the secondary market). If you are not sure which you need, you can call your insurance provider and ask. Please bring a copy of the bill of sale, any previous appraisals, or any laboratory reports, if you have them. This reduces my research time, which will reduce the cost of the report. If you are looking for an offer to buy, we do not typically buy used pieces.
